About

Established  in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1957 by David Kevin Smith, Windsor House Antiques has grown from a small one-man operation into a globally recognised company that celebrates Kevin’s lifelong passion for antiques which he collected and sourced avidly for over 60 years. During Kevin’s career, he had antique studios all over the world, most notably in London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles and Hong Kong and he served for 23 years as the Vice Chairman of LAPADA.

Shortly before his eighty-second birthday, Kevin unfortunately passed away after a short stay in hospital, but he leaves behind a legacy which his employees are dedicated to honouring.

As a company we have always strived to offer quality antiques at competitive prices whilst providing excellent customer service which is something we shall continue to do. We remain a member of LAPADA and CINOA, a confederation of leading antique dealers and we adhere to both organisations’ strict codes of practice.

The company is now mainly based at Barnwell Manor, a former royal residence which offers an ideal opportunity to present stock in a period setting. In combination with our other locations, we have over 30,000 square feet of antiques, both restored and unrestored which are available to both trade and private clients.

We are delighted to work with Interior Design Companies and frequently work closely with private clients as well as established Design and Architect Companies. Almost all restoration is carried out on site with only small and highly specialised restoration given to craftsmen outside the company.

The company’s antiques have all been sourced for their quality, authenticity and style and range in price from £100 up to £100,000 with the emphasis on quality and condition, irrespective of the price level. If there is an antique you are interested in, please do not hesitate to contact us, we are happy to book viewings or provide condition reports upon request.

Please note that Barnwell Manor is open strictly by appointment only.
