The Servers are modelled in the fiddle pattern and have most unusual serving blades with five tines and a shaped edge for cutting. The blade is also pierced and engraved with a very unusual floral boss enclosed by a prick dot frame. The top of the stem is engraved with a contemporary Crest and each is very well marked. It is most unusual to find servers of this design in pairs. Thomas James produced very unusual designs, especially caddy spoons.
