The Serving Spade has a triangular shaped blade unusually pierced with square motifs. The plain silver section of the handle is engraved with a reeded band and is attached to a turned fruitwood section, at the end of the handle. This example is in excellent condition and is well marked on the reverse of the blade. Roger Peppin was a fine maker of flatware and serving pieces during this period from workshops at 27, Greville Street, Hatton Garden.
