The Trowel has a triangular, slightly curved, blade with engraved foliate rim and vertical pierced pails decorated with flowing foliate scrolls, tri-furcated motifs and flower heads. The cast handle has a feather edge border and double shell moulding where it meets the blade. The top of the handle is beautifully pierced and engraved with scrolls and a central flower head. This is one of the most beautiful trowels we have offered over the years and is in quite exceptional condition. It is very well marked on the reverse. William Plummer was a specialist pierced worker of the finest quality.
