The Sauceboat stands on an oval cast foot which is decorated with an applied band of bold beading. This example has a large bowl and the rim is also decorated with beading. The handle is unusually bi-furcated and decorated with acanthus foliage where it is attached to the main body. This is the first time we have ever seen a beaded handle on a beaded sauceboat, as they are usually reeded. The Sauceboat is in most excellent condition and is fully marked in the foot.
Height to the top of the handle: 6.25 inches, 15.63 cm.
Length: 8 inches, 20 cm.
Width: 3.75 inches, 9.38 cm.
Weight: 15oz.
