The Mustard Pot is modelled in the drum form and the sides are pierced with quatrefoil designs and roundels. The cover displays a reeded edge and the scroll handle is decorated with ribbing. This piece has a tri-furcated pierced thumb piece and a blue glass liner. The Mustard Pot is of an early date, is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the base and with the makers mark and sterling mark on the cover. Samuel Herbert and company were specialist pierced workers at this date.
