Designer

Fumi model coffee table, designed by Japanese designer Isamu Kenmochi in the 1960s and produced by Tendo Mokko.

This table is distinguished by its two sculpted side supports holding a thick rectangular top, all in Keyaki wood. Designed with simplicity and balance in mind, it perfectly embodies the formal language developed by Isamu Kenmochi within the Japanese modernist movement. Originally intended for traditional interiors, it was notably used in the rooms of the Atami Garden Hotel and is also known as the "Japanese-style desk." Its low height and open structure make it a functional piece, adaptable to various uses.
