First introduced in 1979, the Metafora coffee table captivates with its minimalist formal vocabulary and references to classical architecture. Designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, it combines the transparency of a large glass top with the textured materiality of travertine, used to carve four geometric volumes.
The base features a cube, a sphere, a pyramid, and a cylinder, all independent and freely positionable, allowing for a sculptural and ever-evolving composition.
