Pair of "Kabuto" lounge chairs, model OM 5006, designed by Isamu Kenmochi and produced by Tendo Mokko from 1961 in Japan.
These fixed-base chairs are defined by their sculptural silhouette and deep, cushioned seats upholstered in soft pink fabric. The gracefully curved backrest follows the body's natural contours, delivering ergonomic comfort while preserving the chair's elegant and restrained aesthetic. The attention to proportion and finish reflects the refined artistry of Japanese design.
Developed in close collaboration with Tendo Mokko, the Kabuto model expresses Kenmochi's design philosophy: a perfect balance between function, comfort, and timeless form. Today, it stands as a celebrated icon of 1960s Japanese furniture design.
