Solid wood escabelle with a highly decorative backrest featuring a central winged figure, crowned and framed by dense baroque carvings. The deep relief and ornamental language reflect traditional woodcarving techniques found in Bavaria or Tyrol.

The rectangular seat stands on four turned, slightly splayed legs. Entirely handmade, this unique piece merges utilitarian function with a strong decorative presence, sitting between folk furniture and ceremonial object. The sculpted back - often crafted separately - may have been executed by a specialist carver.
